Daddy's Suprise for Mommy and Me!!

Our little Pixie is quite the happy camper right now. She has all of her organs back in her body. The nurses took all of the IV's out of her head, which meant she got all of the tape taken out also. Last night she got a bath!!! It is really just a sponge bath, but apparently she LOVED it!! The nurse says she has a very high pain tolerance. They prick her foot everynight to take blood and she doesn't even flinch. Casey and I spent a couple hours with her late last night, we talked to her and sang her lullabyes. She just opened up her big eyes and starred at us. It just melts your heart. Everytime we are talking to the nurses they say she is doing great. Everyday they are going to turn down the amount of air they are giving her in her vent and ease her into breathing on her own. And they are going to turn down the amount of Morphine they have her on. She had her Foley removed last night, so she is now tinkeling on her own. Her tummy is still very very tight. We measured it this morning and it hasn't gone down in size (swelling), but it also hasn't gone up, which is even better! Casey took her temperature this morning for the first time, it was very sweet to watch. And I got to change her diaper (just tee-tee in it, the fun stuff won't come for a couple more weeks). I offered the diaper changing duty to Casey, but his response was "Pirates don't change diapers". Wow, I got lucky!!!! He even has a book titled "Pirates don't change diapers" and he shows it to me whenever we talk about diaper changing duty. Soon enough I will break him in! Casey did come home with a suprise for myself and Dylan. I am sure it will come as a real shock to those that know him. The suprise is pictured above!
